About Boca Lago
Boca Lago grew up around a golf course. The club opened in 1975 as a member-owned equity club; it is now a privately owned, non-equity club, and its 27 holes run through a ring of condominium and villa neighborhoods built from 1975 to 1983.
The county roll lists about 1,690 condominium homes across eight named condominiums: the Fairways, Glades, Pines, Cypresses, Horizons, Vistas, Greens and Palms of Boca Lago. The club sits on about 225 acres at 8665 Juego Way. Its three nines, the South, East and West, were laid out by Bruce Devlin and Robert von Hagge and redesigned by Jan Bel Jan; the club says the redesign won a 2018 award from the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America. The racquet center has 16 Har-Tru courts, four hard courts, three padel courts and six pickleball courts.
