Juno Beach is a town of 3,858 people (2020 Census) on the Atlantic in northern Palm Beach County, between Jupiter and North Palm Beach. Incorporated in 1953, it is mostly oceanfront and low-rise condominiums along Ocean Drive and Celestial Way, with Intracoastal slips west of US 1 and the 990-foot Juno Beach Pier.

Overview

A Small Town on the Beach

Juno Beach is a narrow town on the Atlantic in northern Palm Beach County, with Jupiter to the north and North Palm Beach to the south.

Most of the town lies between the ocean and US 1. Ocean Drive, the old US 1 and now A1A, runs along the beach with condominium buildings on the sand, most of them built between 1966 and 2000. Behind them are Celestial Way and the short streets named for planets, with low-rise condos, townhomes and houses. West of US 1, Bay Colony and Oak Harbour sit on the Intracoastal with boat slips.

That shape sets the market. Condominiums are most of what sells here, from three-story buildings of the 1960s to twelve- and thirteen-story towers on the beach. Houses are fewer, and the oceanfront estate lots are a small group of their own.

What we watch for buyers here: the milestone inspection and reserve study for every older building, each association’s lease minimum and pet rules, the flood zone and elevation, and for boat owners the bridges and the run to an inlet, since Juno Beach has none of its own. The community guides cover those one building at a time.

Juno Beach’s guarded beaches are two county parks on US 1, Juno Beach Park with its 990-foot pier and Loggerhead Park beside Loggerhead Marinelife Center, both with free parking and lifeguards daily from 9:00 to 5:20. From March 1 to October 31 the beach is a sea turtle nesting area: no lights on the sand at night, and the pier closes at sunset.

History

A Short History of Juno Beach

Juno Beach shares its name with Juno, the 1890s county seat at the head of Lake Worth and the end of the Celestial Railroad. Condominiums along Ocean Drive came later and shape the town today.

  1. 1889

Dade County voters moved the county seat to Juno, at the north end of Lake Worth, in February 1889. Juno was the southern end of the Celestial Railroad, which ran from Jupiter from 1889 to 1895. The seat moved to Miami in 1899.

  2. 1930

Seminole Golf Club opened on a Donald Ross course beside the ocean, on part of the marsh the railroad had gone around.

  3. 1948

Bessemer Properties, which bought the land in 1946, filed the Plat of Juno Beach and dredged the marsh into Pelican Lake.

  4. 1950

A 550-foot steel fishing pier was finished as part of the Bessemer development. By 1952 a dozen motels lined Ocean Drive.

  5. 1953

Residents incorporated the Town of Juno Beach, with about 130 people year-round and about 1,500 in season.

  6. 1957

The state moved US 1 inland, and Ocean Drive, the old highway along the beach, became A1A.

  7. 1966

The Greenbrier became the first condominium in Juno Beach, three stories under the zoning of the time. Building along Ocean Drive followed from the 1970s.

  8. 1983

Palm Beach County gave Eleanor Fletcher’s Children’s Museum of Juno Beach a home in Loggerhead Park. It grew into Loggerhead Marinelife Center.

  9. 1999

After a 1984 Thanksgiving storm wrecked the old pier, the county opened the 990-foot Juno Beach Pier at Juno Beach Park, 1.6 miles to the north.

Your Next Chapter Starts With a Conversation

Every move starts a new chapter: a first home, more room, a place on the water, a winter home that becomes year-round. That deserves more than a search bar.

So we start with a conversation. What should the next few years look like? What can you not give up? I listen, then shape the search around your answers, so you only see places that fit and know what each one costs to own.

From there, my team and I handle the details: visits around your schedule, documents read before you ask, questions answered the same day.

Questions

Questions Buyers Ask About Juno Beach

Is Juno Beach mostly condos?

Yes. Most homes in Juno Beach are condominiums, from three-story buildings of the late 1960s on Celestial Way to twelve- and thirteen-story buildings on the beach along Ocean Drive. There are also townhome communities such as Juno Dunes and Ocean Ridge, streets of houses behind Ocean Drive, and a small group of oceanfront estate homes. Tell us which you prefer and we will narrow the list.

What does a home in Juno Beach cost?

In the 12 months through October 2026, the median Juno Beach home sold for $810,000, about $509 per square foot, across 115 sales. The middle 80% sold between $375,000 and $2,350,000: older low-rise condos at the entry point, oceanfront buildings in the middle and upper range, and houses on the beach at the top. The live listings on this page show current asking prices.

How old are the oceanfront buildings?

Most were built between 1966 and 2000. The Greenbrier, from 1966, was the town’s first condominium; the towers along Ocean Drive followed from the 1970s, and Ocean Royale was finished in 2000. Florida now requires milestone inspections and structural reserve studies for buildings like these, so we read both.

Can I keep a boat in Juno Beach?

Yes, on the Intracoastal side of US 1. Bay Colony and Oak Harbour have slips, and Juno Isles and Frenchmans Harbor have docks on canals. There is no inlet in town, so the ocean is reached north through the Jupiter Inlet or south through the Lake Worth Inlet, and we check the bridges on the way against your boat.

Can I rent out a condo in Juno Beach?

Rental rules are set by each building’s documents: the minimum lease, how many leases a year and whether the association approves tenants. Juno Ocean Club, for example, requires a two-month minimum. We read the declaration before you count on rental income.

Is Juno Isles in Juno Beach?

It depends on the address. Juno Isles listings carry Juno Beach and North Palm Beach addresses in the 33408 zip code, and some parcels are unincorporated Palm Beach County. The municipality decides the taxes and the permits, so we check the county record for the exact lot.

How far is Juno Beach from the airport?

Palm Beach International is about 20 minutes south on I-95. Fort Lauderdale is about 70 minutes, and Miami 90 minutes to two hours depending on traffic.

What should I know about flood insurance in Juno Beach?

Flood zones change from street to street, between the beach, the lakes and the Intracoastal. We get the flood zone and an elevation certificate for the address and request wind and flood quotes during the inspection period, so the carrying cost is known before you close.
