Overview

About Palm Beach Farms

Palm Beach Farms is one of the older platted areas of Boca Raton. The name comes from the farm tracts that the Palm Beach Farms Company sold across the county in the early 1900s.

The county roll lists 466 homes in the Boca Raton portion, with the oldest built in 1947 and the median in 1977. They sit on a grid of numbered streets, SW 15th through SW 21st, with many of the busiest blocks on SW 19th, SW 18th and SW 17th Streets. Because the lots are older, you see original houses beside rebuilds from the last few years.

The Palm Beach Farms name is also on plats outside Boca Raton, including parcels with Coconut Creek and unincorporated addresses. We leave those out of this guide and match a home by its street address and plat before we say it belongs here.

  • Estoppel The closing agent orders an estoppel certificate from each association, which confirms what is owed at closing.

Documents to Review Before Closing

  • Before you sign: the association disclosure summary and the parcel’s tax bill, including any non-ad valorem lines
  • Before you sign: leasing and approval rules if you may rent, and architectural rules for exterior changes
  • Before closing: estoppel certificates from every association that applies
