About Lake Ida

Lake Ida is an older neighborhood of houses between Swinton Avenue and the lake it is named for, a short drive north of Atlantic Avenue. It grew one small plat at a time, and newer houses keep replacing older ones.

There is no single plat. Lake Ida Manor, Lake Ida Shores, Lake Ida Gardens, Ida Lake Terrace, Lake Shore Estates and the Totterdale Addition are recorded at PB 22 to PB 25 and together carry about 360 houses on the county roll.

Lots are larger than in most of Delray Beach, typically 9,000 to 18,000 square feet, and houses run from about 1,560 to 4,000 square feet, a median of about 2,490. Lake Ida’s county parks, with picnic areas, fishing docks, a dog park and the path around the lake, are on the west and east shores.

The neighborhood is inside the City of Delray Beach in the 33444 ZIP. A voluntary neighborhood association is active; we have no record of a mandatory homeowners’ association for the area and confirm recorded restrictions for a specific home.
