Overview

About Seagate Country Club

Seagate Country Club began as the Hamlet Country Club, which opened in 1973 with an 18-hole Joe Lee course and was one of the early private clubs in South Florida. In 2012 its members voted to sell the course and clubhouse to the Seagate Hospitality Group, owner of the Seagate Hotel, and the club took the Seagate name.

About 400 condominiums and single-family homes sit around the course in about ten subdivisions, among them Greensward Village, Fox Hollow, Foxpointe, Evergreene and Lakewoode. The club is at 3600 Hamlet Drive, Delray Beach 33445, off Lowson Boulevard. The course was renovated by Rocky Roquemore and Gene Bates in 2013.

Under the Hamlet, club membership was mandatory for homeowners. With the 2012 sale, Seagate stopped requiring new buyers to join, so membership is a separate choice; club terms and dues are on request.

The county roll does not file these homes under the Seagate name, which belongs to the hotel and condominiums near the beach, so we confirm the subdivision and the association for a specific home. It sits inside the City of Delray Beach, so city zoning, permits and services apply. We confirm it on the property record for a specific home.
