The county
Living in Martin County
Martin County is the southernmost of the three Treasure Coast counties, directly north of Palm Beach County, with Stuart as its county seat. It has four municipalities, Stuart, Jupiter Island, Sewall’s Point and Ocean Breeze, and many of its homes sit in unincorporated communities such as Palm City, Hobe Sound, Jensen Beach and Port Salerno.
Water shapes the county. The St. Lucie River and the Indian River Lagoon meet the ocean at the St. Lucie Inlet, and the Okeechobee Waterway runs west from Stuart to Lake Okeechobee, so boaters look first at the route to the inlet and every bridge along the way. The other draw is the clubs, from Sailfish Point, Mariner Sands and Willoughby around Stuart to the golf clubs of Hobe Sound and Palm City. A few Jupiter neighborhoods also sit on the Martin County side of the line, with a Jupiter address.

Yes. Both are in Martin County, just north of Jupiter. Hobe Sound is an unincorporated community on the mainland; Jupiter Island is its own town on the barrier island.
