Overview

About Boca Country Club

Boca Country Club is recorded as Boca Golf & Tennis Club, and its course is no longer private. The owners of the Boca Raton resort donated the club to the City of Boca Raton in 2020, and it reopened in November 2021 as the public Boca Raton Golf & Racquet Club.

The homes are split into named sections, each with its own plat and often its own association: Fairways, Greens and Bermuda Village, Balboa Point, Eastbrooke, Spyglass Walk, Tiffany Trace, Candlewood and Antigua Point among them. The county roll counts more than 500 homes in these sections, about 300 houses and the rest condominiums, nearly all built from 1987 to the mid-1990s.

Because the course is city-owned, there is no required equity membership. The city lists an 18-hole championship course, a driving range and pro shop, and plans for a restaurant and a racquet center with tennis and pickleball, all open to the public at resident and non-resident rates.

The homes sit in unincorporated Palm Beach County with a Boca Raton address in the 33487 ZIP, west of Congress Avenue and north of Clint Moore Road, even though the course itself is owned by the city.

What Else to Check

  • Association Homes may carry a master and a section assessment, plus condominium fees in the condo sections; we confirm each from the disclosure summaries.

  • Estoppel The closing agent orders an estoppel certificate from each association, which confirms what is owed at closing.

Documents to Review Before Closing

  • Before you sign: leasing, pet and approval rules if they matter to you
  • After you sign: the declaration, articles, bylaws, rules, budget and reserves, with the cancellation window Florida law sets once you receive them
  • For buildings three stories or taller: milestone inspection and structural integrity reserve study status
  • Before closing: the estoppel certificate from the condominium association
