Overview

About Medalist

Medalist began as a golf course. The club was founded in January 1995 on a course that Pete Dye and Greg Norman designed together, their first joint design, and the homes came later, one lot at a time.

The county roll counts 92 residential parcels: 82 houses and 10 lots still vacant. The oldest house dates to 1997 and building has never really stopped, with a run of new houses from 2022 to 2025. Homes are large, a median of about 3,820 square feet of living area, on lots that mostly run from about a quarter to more than half an acre.

The homes sit on several recorded sections: Medalist Village, Medalist Club Plats 1 and 2 and the Medalist Club Cottages. The course itself is a parcel of nearly 300 acres on the roll. Bobby Weed later led a renovation meant to restore Dye’s original bunkers and greens.

Medalist is in unincorporated Martin County with a Hobe Sound address, in the 33455 ZIP, a short drive from Jonathan Dickinson State Park and the beaches on Jupiter Island.
