About Lake Osborne Estates
Lake Osborne Estates was built almost all at once in the late 1950s: the county roll puts the median house at 1957, on ten recorded plats along the east shore of Lake Osborne. Its streets are named for lakes, from Lake Geneva and Lake Erie to Ontario, Michigan and Tahoe.
The typical house has about 1,500 square feet of living area on a lot of about 8,800 square feet, and most were finished between 1955 and 1961. A few lots have newer houses, the latest from 2021.
The neighborhood is split between two governments. Most of it is unincorporated Palm Beach County with Lake Worth 33461 addresses, but about 35 lots on its north edge, near Crest Drive and Lake Geneva Drive, are inside the City of Lake Worth Beach, next to the city’s ROLO neighborhood. Taxes, permits and utilities follow the parcel, so we confirm the jurisdiction for a specific home.
Lake Osborne Drive runs along the east shore of the lake, with John Prince Park across the water, and the neighborhood reaches south toward the Town of Lantana.
