About Pleasant Ridge
Pleasant Ridge is one of the older neighborhoods along Ellison Wilson Road. It carries a North Palm Beach address, but it sits in unincorporated Palm Beach County, outside the Village. The county roll counts about 117 houses on its plat, the oldest from 1952 and the middle of the range from the mid-1960s.
The streets are short and quiet: Pleasant Drive, Circle Drive, Ocala Road and Osceola Road, running off Ellison Wilson Road. Building has never really stopped here. Original houses from the 1950s and 1960s stand beside rebuilt ones, and the newest on the roll dates to 2016, so age, size and condition vary a great deal from one lot to the next.
Some lots back onto the Intracoastal Waterway, where the stretch in front of the neighborhood is a no-wake zone. Most homes are inland, a short walk or drive from the water and from the boat ramps at Bert Winters Park.
The neighborhood was recorded as Pleasant Ridge, PB 24, page 167, with a later replat of lot 41 at PB 103, page 181. It is in unincorporated Palm Beach County, outside the Village of North Palm Beach, so county rules, permits and services apply rather than the Village’s.
