Old Palm Golf Club
650 acres, 294 residences in four neighborhoods, one Raymond Floyd course with a 33-acre practice ground, and an equity club. Founded by WCI in 2004 on the north side of PGA Boulevard.
What it is
The low-density one
Old Palm has fewer homes than any other club community in Palm Beach Gardens, and more land per home than most of them. WCI founded it in 2004 on 650 acres bordered on the south by PGA Boulevard; when Clarion Partners bought it in September 2010, 125 homes stood. The plan today is 294 residences in four neighborhoods, Golf Estates, Isle Estates, Grand Estates and Custom Estates, built from 2003 to 2023 with a median year of 2011. The course alone covers 180 acres and the practice ground another 33, which is where the open feel comes from.
The club is an equity club. The published pages agree on the buy-in and the refund percentage and go quiet on whether every deed carries a membership, so that is the first question I put to the membership office in writing before we tour, along with the community development district charge that sits on the tax bill here rather than in the dues.

Old Palm’s own site was unreachable when I checked, so the joining structure comes from a brokerage page and the carrying costs from MLS records. Published dues figures disagree, so I do not quote them.

The CDD is the line buyers miss at Old Palm because it is on the tax bill, not the HOA statement. I pull the exact annual CDD and the remaining bond balance for the specific lot, and I get the club’s current schedule and by-law refund article.
On the ground
Golf and amenities
One course and a serious practice ground. Raymond Floyd, the club’s honorary chairman, designed the 18 holes, which opened in 2004 and play 7,401 yards at par 72. The 33-acre Old Palm Golf Studio holds a double-ended range with portable targets, a short-game area, a V1 hitting bay with TrackMan, and three full-length practice holes, a par 3, a par 4 and a par 5, so you can rehearse a round without playing one.
The clubhouse, in a style after Addison Mizner, is listed at 43,000 square feet on brokerage pages (a contractor’s project page says 45,000). It holds a dining room, a veranda over a waterfall, a wine room, a business conference room, fitness rooms, spa rooms, a salon and lounge-style locker rooms. A 2024 renovation added a casual bistro, an outdoor pool bar, and a sauna and cold plunge area beside the resort-style pool. Tennis courts and a basketball court round out the sports list; this is a golf club first.

Old Palm is a smaller club with bigger individual numbers, so each item on the list carries more weight. The refund is the one to read closely: The refund percentage sounds simple until you know whether it is paid at your resale closing or when the next member joins behind you, and how long that list is today.
