Overview

About Snug Harbor

Snug Harbor goes back to the 1940s: Snug Harbor Corporation was filed with the state in 1944 from an address on SE St. Lucie Boulevard. Today the name covers the original plat, the Snug Harbor Yacht Club filed in 1974, and Snug Harbor West, added after 2001.

The county roll lists about 85 homes, from a 1930 house to new ones finished in 2025. They are larger than most in east Stuart, typically about 3,500 square feet of living area, and lots range widely, from about 6,200 to more than 75,000 square feet.

The original Snug Harbor plat on SE Harbor Point Drive, SE Wells Drive and SE St. Lucie Boulevard is in unincorporated Martin County; some of it is held as Snug Harbor A Condominium, single-family homes owned as condominium units. Snug Harbor West, 17 homes on SE River Lights Court, is inside the City of Stuart and has its own homeowners’ association.

It is in the 34996 ZIP, east of downtown. We confirm which association and which government apply to a specific home.

What Else to Check

  • Yacht club Membership and slip terms come from the club; we get them in writing on request.
  • Snug Harbor West association Homes on SE River Lights Court belong to Snug Harbor West Homeowners Association, Inc., filed in 2001.
  • Flood zone Homes near the river can sit in a flood zone; we pull the flood zone and any elevation certificate for a specific home.
