Overview

About Jupiter Townsite

Jupiter Townsite is the town’s original grid. Jupiter incorporated in 1925, the Townsite’s first section was platted in that decade, and the oldest house on the county roll here dates to 1926.

The county roll counts 234 residential parcels: 169 single-family homes, 60 small multifamily buildings of under ten units, and five vacant lots. That mix is unusual for Jupiter. Most homes are small, about 1,000 to 1,300 square feet, while rebuilt houses run to 3,400 and more.

The streets follow the old pattern, numbered streets crossed by named ones such as Orange Street. It was recorded as Jupiter Townsite Section 1 (PB 14, pages 11 and 12), Section 2 and two later replats, and it sits inside the Town of Jupiter limits. Some listings file parts of the same area under Pine Gardens South; we confirm the recorded plat for a specific home.

There is no homeowners’ association on state records. Harbourside Place and the Riverwalk are about a mile away by road, and the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and the beaches a little farther.

Documents to Review Before Closing

  • Before you sign: the association disclosure summary and the parcel’s tax bill, including any non-ad valorem lines
  • Before you sign: leasing and approval rules if you may rent, and architectural rules for exterior changes
