Overview

About Palm Beach Polo Golf and Country Club

Palm Beach Polo is where Wellington’s polo started. Gould Florida built the polo club in the late 1970s, and by 1987, when Landmark Land Company bought it, the property covered about 1,650 acres with 11 polo fields, a stadium, two golf courses and 17 tennis courts.

Today it is a residential club community made up of some 35 villages, each on its own recorded plat. The county roll counts 1,384 homes across them: 844 houses and villas and 540 condominium units, built from 1979 to new construction, with the median in 1989. Sizes run from about 1,400 square feet in the condominiums to estate homes near 5,000.

The club has two 18-hole golf courses. In 1987 a trade report credited one to Jerry Pate, opened in December 1984, and the other to George Fazio, about a decade older. The property also had a tennis clubhouse and a croquet field that has hosted national and international matches.

Neighboring Southfields, Equestrian Club Estates and Mallet Hill were recorded as part of the same development but each has its own guide. Many villages have their own association under the master, which we sort out for each address.
